Minuteman Grad Takes "Eye-Opening" Trip to Israel

A trip abroad can be taken for many reasons – enjoyment and relaxation, pursuit of an interest in history, or strictly for business. But for Gregory Margolis of Acton, his journey to Israel in January was a welcome chance to connect with his heritage and to see how his Israeli peers live and cope with the centuries-old tensions in that uneasy region of the world. What attracted him was, in his words, “the idea of living and interacting on a daily basis with eight Israeli soldiers and learning not only the history of their country, but also what they see and go through every day.”

Several students from Minuteman Career & Technical High School in Lexington recently competed at the 80th Annual Massachusetts Future Farmers of America (FFA) Convention in Sturbridge, Mass.
MIT wants him. So do Ivy League Brown University and Worcester Polytech.
